WHAT TO EXPECT

You can choose between apprenticeships in Brickwork, Carpentry and Joinery, Plumbing and Electrical and Groundworks. We are always looking to expand our apprenticeship offering with other trade disciplines as required by our divisions and developments – if you are interested in a particular trade, please let us know. You’ll work with one of our trusted subcontractors on a Redrow housing development that’s local to you. You’ll also attend a nearby college that’s contracted to the Construction Industry Training Board or JTL training, our preferred apprenticeship providers. The Journalism Diversity Fund (JDF) awards bursaries to students from ethnically or socially diverse backgrounds who want to go into journalism. JDF and the bursaries they provide support students with:
The cost of the NCTJ-accredited course
Exam fees paid for
Contributions towards living expenses
Support with finding work experience placements
There are lots of accredited courses across the UK, however, they do vary in what is on offer/available for each city. Students can not apply for this is they are studying an undergraduate course. So Journalism students at Essex Uni would not qualify for this support. You can check out their accredited courses here and the cities they are available.
Check out their website for more information, they have lots on there.
