Marine Biologist for a day

The MBA runs an annual Marine Biologist for a Day event at its laboratory in Plymouth. The event usually takes place over 2-3 days, with separate days for primary aged students and secondary school/ college aged students. the days are aimed at anyone with a keen interest in marine biology and gives an opportunity for participants to meet working marine scientists and carry out experiments and interactive activities in the laboratory.

YR11 Medical Summer School

We are pleased to announce the launch of a brand new residential summer school at Imperial College London! In partnership with the Medical Schools Council and funded by Health Education England, this summer school will provide the opportunity to experience what it is like to study at medical school and explore medicine as a future career.

Students will spend four days learning about what it takes to become a doctor through talks, workshops and practical activities. There will be sessions on a variety of specialisms within medicine as well as support for preparing a strong application to medical school. Students will also have the chance to experience broader university life through a series of social activities and time to relax with other participants and undergraduate mentors.

  • You MUST put that you are applying for a funded place and you must write IntoUniversity when it asks 'How did you hear about EDT'?

  • The personal statement does not need to be long, a few lines about your interests and aspirations for the future is fine.

  • Putting as many course preferences (up to 5) increases the likelihood of securing a place
